Mission Statement

FF7Central was originally hosted on Tumblr at ff7central , as a way to promote fandom content for the FF7 Compilation, including fanart, fanfic, meta, creator promotions and events. As Tumblr begins to threaten content purges, it is uncertain where the bulk of fandom will move to next but I feel it would be wise to have a presence here on a designated fandom-friendly space. There is also a small community based on Pillowfort where we can be found (here), though it too is understandably in its early stages.

I am your mod, ladykf , one of the original mods of the Tumblr and Pillowfort communities, though I may eventually be joined by others to help with management. Obviously, by nature of Dreamwidth allowing members to post, this has the potential to be an even more active community than Tumblr's was, assuming we get users here.

What would be good content? Fanart may be difficult, with current image hosting caps at the moment, but this would be an excellent place to signal boost your blogs for visibility, share or link to fanfiction, share meta and headcanons, promote yourself as a roleplayer, and promote community events.

If you have more suggestions, of course, feel free to speak up! There's no telling how we may grow, on this new platform, but the only way to go is forward.

I really appreciate hearing that. It's a little odd not to have a reblog/like system here to get move coverage, you know? I'm going to have to get used to the format. At least enough to do a little here, for those of us who've settled here.
